Three Rivers Folklife Society January Concert: The Blue Ribbon Tea Company

On Saturday, January 17th, Three Rivers Folklife Society will present The Blue Ribbon Tea Company in concert.

The Blue Ribbon Tea Company are Bill and Kathy Kostelic, who are prolific singer/songwriters in the American Roots tradition known for distinctive vocals and powerful songwriting. They are, in the words of various reviewers, “soulful,” “powerful,” “catchy,” and “refreshing.” They have performed at numerous fine folk festivals and venues large and small (including Tumbleweed) and have produced 6 albums of mostly original music, which the late Dan Maher called “Awesome, awesome stuff.”
Bill & Kathy also enjoy playing old folk, country, and blues tunes and have performed at multiple Woody Guthrie tribute shows. Bill plays guitar, harmonica, and sometimes banjo. Kathy plays mandolin, fiddle, guitar and sometimes autoharp.
