Bruce "Utah" Phillips, a major figure in American folk music, passed away at his home in Nevada City, CA, on May 23, 2008. Bruce performed at the very first 3RFS concert, and returned to perform for us several times over the years. He will be remembered for his songs and stories, and for his encyclopedic knowledge of the early history of the American labor movement. Ride that freight, Bruce! We will not forget you or your message.
